As we celebrate Christmas, 2007, we remember the reason Christ came to Bethlehem. He came as the "Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world", as we read in John 1:29. He came to give eternal life to all those who would accept Him. Your faithfulness in giving to missions has let to souls who will life forevermore as they accept His gift of salvation. As we thank Him for that gift, we would like to thank you for your giving. It has allowed us to continue in the ministry of reaching lost souls and establishing churches for them to have a place to worship the "new born King."
BIMI has its' semi-annual candidate school in December. We have a new couple approved to go to Honduras. Please pray for Daniel and Abigail Jacobo. Pray also for Joey and Andrea weaver as they leave for the field this month and begin their Spanish language studies. Pray for Carlos Johnson, missionary to Honduras. His wife and co-laborer, Ruby, passed away at the end of October. Pray for Chester Sheren's wife, Violet, in Honduras, who is going through more medical tests in her fight against cancer. Chester and Violet are about 79 years old now and praying for missionaries to come help them in the work. Many of our missionaries on the field are above retirement age or near that age and we need young missionary families to go and work alongside them. As Christ cam to earth to offer eternal life, won't you pray about going to another part of the world with the message that He came as the "Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world."
We have a new grandson, Micah David Jones, born August 16th! We now have three grandchildren, Jason and Emily have Morgan who will be four years old at the end of this month and her new baby brother, Micah. Kaleigh, Steve and Miranda's (Mandy) daughter, turned two the day after Thanksgiving. We thank the Lord for our children and their testimony for the Lord. Please pray for them and our grandchildren, as well as us.
My mother, Henrietta Jones, went home to be with the Lord the 5th of November, 2007. Thank you for your prayers and please continue to remember my father and our family in you prayers. He is still serving as a deacon in his church at 84 years old, and stays busy with his church family in Alabama. My mother had a wonderful testimony as a Christian wife and mother. We miss her, but know she is with the Lord.
Thank you for your love, prayers and support. Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
